The fox has now entered the hen house! The guards are no where in sight. President Obama has recently appointed Monsanto VP, Michael Taylor, as his Czar of the Food Safety Division of the FDA (Food and Drug Administration). Despite decades-long opposition from scientists, farmers and consumers, the US allows dairy cows to be injected with rBGH (recombinant bovine growth hormone). Monsanto developed and manufactures this genetically engineered hormone which forces cows to artificially increase milk production by 10 to 15 percent. The IGF-1 (insulin growth factor) in rBGH milk is a potential risk factor for breast and other cancers, according to respected cancer prevention professional, Dr. Samuel Epstein, and many others. The fact that increased IGF-1 levels in hormone-treated milk increases your risk for breast, colon, and prostate cancers has been documented in about 50 scientific publications over the past three decades. In 1998, a Harvard Nurses Health study showed that premenopausal women with elevated IGF-1 levels had up to a seven-fold increase in breast cancer. Our daughter, mother of eleven young children, died from premenopausal breast cancer. Can anyone think of a more common consumption denominator than dairy products? This hormone acts on the pituitary gland to produce cell growth and replication. Not only does pasteurization not destroy it, studies show it actually increases IGF-1 levels by about 70 percent by disrupting protein binding. Scientific studies show that we do not break it down in our digestive tract, but it does get absorbed in our blood stream, with infants and children being the most vulnerable because of a higher absorption rate. Studies also show that only one of every 10 breast cancer cases is attributed to genetics—the other nine are triggered by environmental factors, including diet. Other countries: Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and 27 countries of the European Union, have banned the use of rBGH. Even the United Nations voted unanimously not to endorse the bovine growth hormone, resulting in an international ban on U. S. milk. Every product made from this milk is contaminated: cheese, ice cream, yogurt, butter, along with milk. About one-third of the cows in this country are given rBGH, with the largest dairies the biggest users. The FDA, however, continues to assure consumers that rBGH is safe for cows and humans, despite evidence to the contrary. Incredibly, the FDA relied solely on one study administered by Monsanto in which rBGH was tested for 90 days on 30 rats. The study was never published, and the FDA stated the results showed no significant problems. The Cancer Prevention Coalition has tried for years to get this hormone banned, and resubmitted its petition to the FDA nearly two years ago. To date, the only response has been to hire more allies from Monsanto. Incidentally, Monsanto lobbyist, Islam Siddiqui, is Obama’s U.S. Ag Trade representative. Why did Obama appoint Monsanto’s VP Michael Taylor as Czar of the FDA’s food safety division? Why does the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation which supports national and international Planned Parenthood Federations, the U. N. Fund for Population Activities, and Americans for UNFPA, buy 500,000 Monsanto shares in 2010, and George Soros 897,813 the same year? Is there a connection to Gates’ and Soros’ involvement in activities that support global depopulation? These are questions everyone should be asking. My research has led me to the conclusion that government has no interest in protecting anyone from rBGH-contaminated products or anything else. It’s all politics and greed. I plan to do more research on the FDA! Please join me.
